Only a few more weeks to go.

So, we're finally arrived at the end of July, and we're hitting the home stretch regarding out new baby. Things have been hectic as usual, but we're starting to feel ready for our new arrival. Paperwork for registering the baby at our town office, Canadian citizenship and passport, and Japanese passport are filled out, minus the name, gender and physical details. Our house is more or less ready, although Conan seems to relish pulling everything apart on a daily basis. Conan however, is (hopefully) ready to be a big brother, thanks to us helping explain that the baby inside Mama is soon coming out. He's also really enjoyed a book from his great-aunt Florence about how wonderful it is to be a big brother. Our Canada trip plans are coming along as well, with the final list of Japanese VIPs accompanying us to be finalised this week. This will be a relief to me, as I've wanted to confirm hotel and bus reservations for a few months now. Once we've locked in everything, I'll send out an e-mail with the dates that we'll be home for a visit.

Good luck with the new arrival and the travel plans. I hope that we can see you when you are in town. Will Junko and the children be travelling with you, too?

Hi Karen,

Yes, it will be the whole family coming. We won't be able to do a lot of traveling around like last time (mainly because the baby will be six weeks old), so hopefully we can arrange to have a get-together wherever we are staying.
