Elementary School Sports Day

Last Sunday, the main elementary school had it's annual sports day. Sport days here are a big deal, with the kids and teachers practicing for weeks before, and most parents (and grandparents!) showing up the actual event day. It's an all-day event, starting at 8:30am, and finishing precisely at 3:00pm. There is also a mix of traditional races and fun crazy events, plus some traditional dances done by various grades throughout the day. I was asked to attend to act as official school photographer for the day.

Only five more years until Conan gets to do this. Actually, he'll get to do it sooner at the local day-care centre when he starts attending. :)
