Back from Canada!
Hello all, Sorry for the delay in posting about our trip, but as usual everything had piled up waiting for us to get back from our vacation. This past week I've been doing my regular teaching, as well as something every single night. Whether it's been barbershop chorus rehearsal, English Sumita's Engilsh conversation club, the Sumita Mens' volleyball tournament (which, I found out came a month early this year) has kept me away from family dinners for the past six evenings. Junko also came home to several month's worth of office paperwork, since her eight weeks of post-natal leave ended while we were away. But enough of that. On to the update about Canada!
First off, let me thank everyone for making our two weeks so wonderful and memorable. We had such a wonderful time seeing everyone we could, although time constraints, distance and maintaining a sane schedule with two small kids made it impossible to get around to everyone. For those of you we couldn't see, we'll try to remedy the situation for our next trip. Or, we'll gladly host you here if you desire. :)
Here are a few photos of some of the highlights:
Conan eats a sandwich at the St. Lawrence Market.
Hiking in the hockley Valley area with Grandpa Keith and Grandma Lynn.
Eating Grandpa Gus's famous ribs in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
My brother Scott celebrates his birthday.
Grandma Joan, Great-aunt Florence and Conan share a laugh in North Bay.
Great-grandma Helen gets aquainted with Leif.
We woke up surprised to an early snow at Great-aunt Lois's house in North Bay on our last day.
Conan experiences a Canadian cottage-country institution: Paul Weber's Hamburgers.
