Seeing the airshow in Misawa City, Aomori Prefecture

We usually make an annual trek to Misawa airbase in late Septemeber to take in the airshow, since Junko's father is a big fan. It's a joint Japan Air Defence Force/U.S. base, so there always are a variety of planes to see. Conan enjoyed his day, although the sound of the plane engines taking off was a little much for him. No crying, just holding on to me extra tight. The highlight that many Japanese wait for is the precision flying team "Blue Impulse." Although not as daring as the Snowbirds in Canada, they still showed some great flying techniques. The Blue Impulse "Jr", team seen above (on overly-decorated 50cc bikes), is.... cute. :)
